Stone Therapy Massage
Learners are expected to wear salon uniform, minimal makeup, no nail polish or jewellery and hair should be tied back and off the face. If learners do not own a salon uniform, they may wear black trousers, flat closed-in black shoes, black socks and a plain black t-shirt or polo shirt
Learners are expecting to purchase their own stones, heater, accessories and oils (details will be provided) and to bring their own towels, blankets and pillow
Covers the benefits and effects of stone therapy massage, the use of hot and cold stones, hygiene and safety in the salon, consultations, contra-indications, stone massage, techniques, massage mediums, treatment adaptations, contra-actions and aftercare advice, some anatomy and physiology, legislation and health and safety

The course runs over 2 full days, followed by a final 1/2 day for assessment and exam
You must hold a recognised level 3 body massage qualification before undertaking this course
After the course learners will need to compile a portfolio of evidence, complete case studies and assignments
Learners will need to bring their evidence to a final 1/2 day session during which they will undertake a practical assessment and 2 final external exam papers
The cost is £250 which includes face-to-face training, manuals, email support and assessment
Additional costs - £67.50 VTCT exam fee (2021-2022)
