The VTCT (ITEC) Level 1 Award in Mental Health Awareness is a VRQ aimed at learners aged 14+ who are either in a full-time education programme, a part time programme at a college or with a private training provider, and wish to develop an understanding of a range of issues which may affect the mental health of people, how to identify common mental health conditions and offer support for people with mental health conditions.

COURSE STRUCTURE
Once enrolled and paid for, you will be give access to your course which comprises 4 online presentations which you may choose to print if you wish.
DURATION
6 guided learning hours
CONTENT
Understand what is meant by mental health
Develop an awareness of the effects of mental health conditions
Know how to support people with mental health conditions
ASSESSMENT
Please contact your centre when you have completed your course to arrange an online VTCT examination at a mutually convenient day and time.
The examination comprises multiple choice questions.
The pass mark is 70%

There are no entry requirements for this course, other than basic computer knowledge.
This course can be undertaken by complete beginners.
