The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology for Complementary Therapies is a knowledge-based qualification which will provide you with a sound foundation to pursue a career as a complementary therapist.
This qualification will develop your knowledge and understanding of the organisation of the body, and the structure, function and pathologies of the skin, hair and nails.
You will also learn about the structure, function and pathologies of the human body systems including, the skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive, urinary and reproductive system.

COURSE DURATION
Learners are able to work at their own pace, although the course will remain open for 1 year.
COURSE STRUCTURE
Once enrolled, you will be sent access to your course which comprises 12 course manuals and 12 assessment packs. You will also receive a link to online resources to help you with your studies.
You will receive one subject area at a time to enable the centre to monitor your progress.
You may wish to print your manuals for your own reference.
PRE-REQUISITES
There are no entry requirements for this course, other than basic computer knowledge and a willingness to learn.
This course can be undertaken by complete beginners, and those not in the field of complementary therapies.
This course is a mandatory qualification for learners studying the VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology and the VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Aromatherapy and is included as part of those courses. There is no need to purchase this course separately in this respect.
ASSESSMENT
Examinations are held in April and October each year.
Please contact your centre when you have completed your course to arrange to sit your exam at the next scheduled event.
There will be 2 exam papers with multiple choice questions. The pass mark is 70%.
